What Riss is not

This matters as much as what it is. Riss does not sync to a cloud, does not convert handwriting to text, does not import PDFs, and never will have "AI" in its name. These are deliberate choices, not missing features — every other app in this category went the other way, and their reviews show how that feels.

If you want OCR or cross-device sync, other notebooks do that well. If you want to open a notebook and write within a second, that's Riss.
