The short version: Munin collects no data. No account, no analytics, no tracking, no ads, and no server that ever sees your voice memos. Everything stays on your iPhone.
Munin is made by Abegia, a brand operated by Zatacka Holding AS (Org. no. 918 717 978), Oslo, Norway. This policy covers the Munin app; abegia.com has its own site-wide policy.
Your memos are audio files plus a local database (titles, folders, transcripts), all inside Munin's private app storage on your iPhone. Transcription happens on the device; the resulting text is stored right next to the audio. Nothing is stored anywhere else.
Both are requested by iOS on first use and can be revoked at any time in Settings.
Nothing, unless you export it. Munin has no network code: no uploads, no telemetry, no third-party SDKs. When you use Export, the files go exactly where you send them via the iOS share sheet — and nowhere else.
One nuance worth being precise about: the first time you transcribe in a new language, iOS downloads that language's on-device model from Apple. That is a system download of software, not of your content — your audio and transcripts never leave the phone.
If you have iCloud Backup or local device backups enabled, your Munin data may be included in those backups. That is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy — we have no part in it and no access to it.
Because Munin collects no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our side — your data is on your iPhone, under your control. Deleting the app deletes its data. For any question about this policy, contact us and we'll help.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Any change will keep the same principle: Munin does not collect your data.
